Amanda Dudnik finds inspiration in places once known as gritty cities
In this short documentary, Hamilton artist Amanda Dudnik dissects the concept of inspiration to tell viewers how a painter goes from concept to canvas.
The young artist found her passion while working on her Masters in Fine Arts at the University of Windsor, Ontario.
"Painting is about a continual cycle of creating, the push and pull of compositional elements and our ephemeral state of being," Dudnik explains on her website.
She shows filmmaker Alex Hutchinson exactly what she means in this video, produced by CBC's Stephanie Matteis.
Hamilton Arts Week runs from June 5-11, 2016.
Watch Exhibitionists Sundays at 4:30pm (5 NT) on CBC.
