Correspondent April Aliermo meets Raging Asian Women to try taiko drumming and find out what it means to some powerful women.

Taiko drums have been around for a long time (like, centuries). And learning how to make powerful percussive music with the instrument takes a lot of dedicated training. The process is physical, mental and demanding. So the athleticism and drive behind Toronto's Raging Asian Women Taiko Drummers is nothing to shake a stick at (yes, that was a pun).

In this video, you get to learn a little bit about why learning taiko has been a transformative process for the women of RAW. And becoming a fierce presence in a form of music that, for a time, was thought to be a male-dominated genre, is a show of strength in itself.
