Go full Grecian goddess with these Santorini-inspired picks

If we can’t be sipping Ouzo in Santorini, we might as well dress like we are

If we can’t be sipping Ouzo in Santorini, we might as well dress like we are

While we're all prepping for back to school, back to work or back to reality (i.e. winter is coming, eek!), it's inevitable that someone on our Instagram feeds is having the time of their life on a yacht off the coast of Greece. In fact, literally everywhere I look right now there's a blogger snapping a beautiful sunset in Santorini, a model sipping Ouzo on a beach in Mykonos or a friend doing touristy things in Athens. As if that wasn't make us all reach peak FOMO, The Durrells, a sunny new show about British family who have relocated to, you guessed it, Greece, in hopes of finding a better life, promises to kick our island-hopping envy into overdrive.

So, in anticipation for The Durrells, which premieres Wednesday, September 13 on CBC, and in some sort of twisted act of rebellion against my social feed, I've rounded up all the great Greek-inspired pieces to pick up now. Guaranteed to be cheaper than a flight across the ocean!

Gladiator sandals

Okay, I did just mention that summer is wrapping up, but hear me out: I have a friend who is determined to wear open-toed shoes until the end of October, so if you're anything like her, these shoes are for you! Plus, gladiator sandals never go out of style, so you can always keep them on ice until the weather warms back up — or start planning your winter getaway a little early!

If you've ever studied Greek mythology (or stepped foot in a frat house), you'll know that eye-catching symbols and patterns are an essential part of the Greek language and culture. I have no idea what they mean, but they sure do make for gorgeous clothing and jewellery!
