Turn your holiday sweater into a stylish look

What once started as the wardrobe in several 80s Christmas films,  has now become tradition in some circles.   As kitschy as the Holiday Sweater can be, it can also add a touch of colour and charm into your winter wardrobe.  We picked out one of the seasons most festive sweaters, the fair isle sweater, and paired it with items for two very different occasions.  

The Look: The Sweater

We are particularly loving this bright version from JCREW ($104.50 CAD) which mixes holiday colours and traditional fair isle prints.  These knit sweaters usually have a limited colour palette, and repetitive prints.  

1. Ways to Wear It: Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

2. Ways to Wear It: Winter Weekend Getaway

Heading up north for the weekend? That's what this sweater was meant for.  Pair it with your favourite denim, a handkerchief scarf, and camel accessories for a little luxe addition.  Style Tip: Tucking your sweater in slightly at the front, gives this look a stylish update.  Sweaters can sometimes look bulky and unflattering, but doing this shows off the waist making it stylish and flattering.
