The "Say Hi to a Stranger" campaign is back for Valentine's Day weekend

Some say this city has an icy, inhospitable reputation — that it`s tough to make friends or find love. 

In fact, social isolation was actually a municipal election issue with all parties vowing to draw it's citizens out.

In the meantime, grass roots campaigns continue.  

On Our Vancouver, Duncan McCue speaks to Kaare Long. She's the woman behind the "Say Hi to a Stranger" initiative. 

Long is challenging people in the city to break out of their shell and meet for coffee or beer.
