Bon Jovi concert rescheduled for Rogers Arena on Saturday

The show will go on for ticket buyers left high and dry after a Jon Bon Jovi concert scheduled for Saturday night in Stanley Park was abruptly cancelled.

Concert at Rogers Arena on Saturday to replace cancelled concert at Stanley Park

The Jon Bon Jovi concert scheduled for Stanley Park this weekend has been replaced by a concert at Rogers Arena.

The show will go on for ticket buyers left high and dry after a Jon Bon Jovi concert scheduled for Saturday night in Stanley Park was abruptly cancelled.

The new Bon Jovi concert will take place at Rogers Arena on Saturday night at 8 p.m.

"It has been Jon's main concern that he find a way to make good on the promoter's failed attempt to put on the show," said Paul Korzilius of Bon Jovi Management in a written statement.

The concert will only be for those who already bought a ticket; no new tickets will be available for sale.

Sources told CBC that fewer than than 60 per cent of the 14,000 tickets for the concert scheduled for Stanley Park had been sold.

The tickets — which went on sale in June — were priced between $40 and $600.

Organizers had said that $100,000 from the proceeds would be donated to charity, supporting child and adult education in Ethiopia.

It's unclear if the replacement concert would do the same.
