James Henry Reddeman has been charged with offences including sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and attempting to choke to overcome resistance.

Reddeman, of no fixed address, was arrested Sunday, following two recent sexual assaults of women who work in the sex trade. Investigators say a third woman also came forward to police.

Surrey RCMP had issued a public appeal for tips after the attacks on October 10 and are now looking for more potential victims to come forward.

Cpl. Bert Paquet said the offences have all been very violent and all have targeted women who work in the sex trade.

"We owe it to our community and this specific segment of our population to make the appeal for any kind of additional information, any details about interactions with this individual or — if you were a victim — to approach us and let us know right away," said Paquet.

Reddeman is in custody and will appear in court on November 5. Paquet is urging anyone with more information to come forward.

"Definitely we want this individual to be prosecuted with all the crimes he has committed, not only the ones we are aware of."

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit at 604-599-0502 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or online at solvecrime.ca.
