RCMP say a man in his twenties is dead after a two-vehicle collision in Surrey, B.C.

Mounties say they were called to the crash around 1:15 a.m. Sunday after a Camaro and a Mustang collided along on Nordel Way, just east of 120 Street.

They say the Mustang slammed into a hydro pole and a male passenger in the car was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Mustang received serious but non-life threatening injuries and two men in the Camaro were not seriously injured.

Police say it was raining heavily at the time of the crash, but they didn't say if that was a factor in the cause of the collision.
