The family of a murdered realtor from suburban Victoria is hoping a $100,000 reward will lead to information that could help solve the woman's slaying.

Lindsay Buziak was killed two years ago while showing a $1-million house in Saanich, B.C.

Buziak's family, the Greater Victoria Real Estate Board and the Canadian Real Estate Association put up the reward money, according to Saanich police spokeswoman Julie Fast.

Buziak, 24, was stabbed to death after being contacted by two people on Feb. 2, 2008. Police revealed Tuesday that the cellphone used to call her to make the appointment had been bought in Vancouver under a false name.

It appeared that Buziak was intentionally lured to the home and then killed, police said.

Buziak had some apprehension about showing the house to the two people and had asked her boyfriend to check on her, but he and a friend did not arrive at the unoccupied home until after she was killed.

Both the boyfriend and his friend have been cleared as suspects, police said.

Police said they had followed up more than 800 leads, but still did not have any suspects.

Two people sought

The investigation remains focused on the two people who Buziak met at the home.

The man is described as:

  • Caucasian.
  • About 6’ tall.
  • Medium build.
  • Dark, possibly brown hair.
  • Wearing a light to medium brown jacket.
  • Overall he was well dressed.

The woman is described as:

  • Caucasian.
  • Heavy foreign accent.
  • 35 to 40 years old.
  • Short blonde hair.
  • Wearing a distinctive white, black and red/pink dress.
