Calgary police are investigating after a man was found dead in a back alley in the city's northeast on Friday.

Calgary police are investigating after a man in his 30s was found dead in a back alley in the city's northeast on Friday.

Sgt. Duane Lapchuk said a passerby located the man in the alley of the 2600 block of 38th Street N.E. at approximately 3 p.m.

"We attended and currently homicide is investigating," Lapchuk said.

There is no threat to the public, Lapchuk said.

On June 26, police said they located a dark blue 2005 GMC Sierra truck with Alberta license plate CJD8152 which is believed to be linked to the suspicious death.

Police are seeking information on the whereabouts of the truck before and after the death.

Anyone who saw the truck between 6 a.m. on June 25 and 6 a.m. on June 26 is asked to call to call the police non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or the homicide unit's tip line at 403-428-8877.
