Heat warning continues Tuesday, 'most significant heat event' in years

Expect a mainly sunny day with a high of 31 C. A heat warning remains in effect for Hamilton with the Humidex reaching 43 C expected. Environment Canada says "The extreme heat event will continue through Thursday. This will be the most significant heat event in the past few years."
The national weather agency says "Overnight low temperatures are expected to be in the low twenties, except high teens in some rural areas, providing little or no relief from the heat."
Environment Canada says it expects temperatures to cool by Friday with the passage of a cold front.
