77-year-old cyclist killed in collision with cement mixer truck: police

Hamilton police say a 77-year-old male cyclist is dead after colliding with a cement mixer truck Friday morning at a downtown Hamilton intersection.

A 77-year-old cyclist was killed, police say, after a collision with a cement mixer truck.

The crash happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday at the intersection of King Street and Queen Street.

The man succumbed to his injuries after colliding with the truck, according to police.

The intersection was closed for the majority of the day and officers asked people to avoid the area. 

The driver of the cement mixer is cooperating with investigators, say police.
