A personal support worker (PSW) in Hamilton has been charged with sexual assault, according to police.

Hamilton police say officers investigated a report of sexual assault in April 2023.

Police spokesperson Jackie Penman told CBC Hamilton the 47-year-old man assaulted the victim at their home and while he was working.

Penman said the accused worked at a long-term care home and throughout the city, but said police couldn't name to the care home to protect the victim.

"The investigation has led detectives to believe there are more victims," Penman said.
