Pete Wise has been patrolling the area surrounding the Vernon airport every day, for more than a decade.

It's not often he comes across a wild animal in distress.

It's even less often, that he's able to help these animals make a full recovery.

But that's just what happened this past weekend, when he came across a female deer hanging upside from a fence.

To find out just how unlikely this rescue was Daybreak called up Pete Wise for the story.
