Ammonia leak at Granite Curling Club closes nearby streets

Fire crews and a hazardous materials unit shut down lanes on Granite Way and the Osborne Bridge Sunday night due to an ammonia leak at the Granite Curling Club.

Fire crews and a hazardous materials unit shut down lanes on Granite Way and the Osborne Bridge Sunday night due to an ammonia leak at the Granite Curling Club.

Emergency crews were called to the area before 8 p.m. after reports of a leak.

A fire official at the scene told CBC News that an ammonia leak had occurred inside the building.

This is at least the second such leak at the club since June.
