At CBC Manitoba, our job is to tell stories that reflect our province's many people and places. Communities in Focus is a community news bureau project that aims to hear Manitobans' stories and share them with the rest of the province. This September, we're heading to Poplar River First Nation in Manitoba.

From September 23-27, we will be meeting with the community to hear the stories that matter to the people of Poplar River First Nation. CBC Manitoba's journalists Josh Crabb, Chloe Friesen, videographer Tyson Koschik, and Community Connections Senior Producer Nadia Kidwai will be spending time getting to know the community.

Share your stories

The goal of the Communities in Focus initiative is to meet people, hear their stories and then share those stories with the world. We want to tell stories that reflect and represent our province and that's why we need your help!

Got a story to share? If you have a story idea, please get in touch by email: [email protected] or call 204-296-0846.

CBC Manitoba's Communities in Focus series

This is not CBC Manitoba's first Communities in Focus tour. Over the last year, CBC Manitoba has set up community news bureaus in the Interlake, Steinbach, Virden and Island Lake. From north to south, our province has so many intriguing stories to share.
