A day after two bodies were discovered inside a home on Montreal's South Shore, provincial police investigators have concluded the deaths were another fatal case of domestic violence.

Investigators believe that Dyann Serafica-Donaire, 38, was killed by her partner inside their home on Beauchemin Street in Mercier, Que.

Police say Richard West, 50, then took his own life.

Police found their bodies after responding a 911 call around noon on Friday.

Serafica-Donaire is the tenth woman killed since the beginning of February. In all but one of the cases, the victim's partner has either been charged with the crime or is suspected of committing it.

Advocates against domestic violence have been urging the provincial government to do more to protect victims.
