Longueuil police are searching for a Brossard woman and her six-month-old son after they disappeared from their home on Wednesday.

Jian Ping Li, 42, was reported missing by her husband after he returned home in the mid-afternoon.

Const. Mark David of Longueuil police said police are examining all possible angles.

“Is it a woman who left home because of a depression? Is it a woman who wanted to commit suicide? Was it a woman who was abducted? We have to look at these angles,” David said.

Investigators searched the surrounding area by helicopter, as well as with the help of the canine unit. They also searched the nearby river.

They have also been meeting with Li’s neighbours and former colleagues.

Li is of Asian origin and has shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes. She wears prescription glasses and was possibly wearing a long black coat and yellow sneakers when she left home.

Anyone with information on her and her son’s whereabouts are asked to call 450-463-7211.
