Musical instruments were stolen from a church in Birchy Bay on Newfoundland’s northeast coast last week, according to police.

The RCMP said two accordions were taken from the Apostolic Church in the Notre Dame Bay community.

Police said the break-in and theft happened sometime between Nov. 21 and 25.

They said both instruments were red Hohner accordions – one was full-sized, the other was smaller.

Together, they're estimated to be worth about $1500.
