Lary Wells to represent PCs in Humber East

The Progressive Conservatives have selected a candidate to represent Humber East in an upcoming byelection, and he's a familiar name to many in the district.
Lary Wells, the longtime executive assistant to former premier Tom Marshall, received 171 of the 193 ballots cast in a nomination vote held Monday night.
Clarence Cantwell was the other nominee.
Marshall, who has represented the district since 2003, is expected to resign soon.
Businessman Stelman Flynn won the Liberal nomination in September, edging out two other candidates.
The NDP has not named a candidate.
A provincial general election has to take place by Sept. 26, 2015, one year after Paul Davis was sworn in as premier.
