All fuels down across N.L. in weekly price adjustment

Gas prices are down across Newfoundland and Labrador on Thursday morning.

The Public Utilities Board lowered the price ceiling on gasoline by 1.8 cents per litre. That means customers on the Avalon Peninsula, where gas is typically cheapest, will now pay just under $1.63 per litre though some retailers will charge less.

Elsewhere in the province, maximum prices now range between $1.63 and $1.80 per litre across Newfoundland and between $1.64 and $2.20 per litre in Labrador.

The price of diesel also dropped by 1.6 cents per litre, except by a tenth of a cent less in Labrador West and Churchill Falls. The price fluctuation means maximum prices now range between $1.79 and and $1.91 per litre in Newfoundland and between $1.86 and 2.59 per litre across Labrador.

Furnace oil dropped by 1.37 cents per litre, meaning customers in Newfoundland will now pay maximum prices between $1.14 and $1.32 per litre depending on their location.

Stove oil dropped by 1.38 cents per litre across much of the province, and by 1.36 cents per litre in Labrador West and Churchill Falls. The change puts prices between $1.11 and $1.30 per litre in Newfoundland and between $1.23 and $1.95 per litre in Labrador.

Propane decreased by 0.4 cents per litre, putting maximum prices between $1.01 and $1.14 per litre in Newfoundland and between 87 cents and $1.32 per litre in Labrador.
