Steve Crocker is Liberal candidate in Trinity-Bay de Verde

Newfoundland and Labrador Liberals have chosen Steve Crocker to run as their candidate in Trinity-Bay de Verde.

Crocker is party leader Dwight Ball's executive assistant.

He defeated two other candidates, Stella Johnson and Norman Snelgrove, for the nomination.

A byelection in the district is expected in the coming months to replace former finance minister Charlene Johnson, who resigned from her role as MHA earlier in September.
