Young Northern graduates of Nunavut Sivuniksavut, an Ottawa-based junior college offering courses on Inuit history and culture, performed a crowd-pleasing traditional dance during their certificate-granting ceremony last week.
Madeleine Allakariallak, the host of Nunavut's supper-hour TV news program Igalaaq, filmed and tweeted footage of the students' rousing finish at the Wabano Aboriginal Health Centre in Ottawa on May 15.
The performance of the drum dance received raves on Twitter.
