Moscow to L.A. flight makes emergency landing in Iqaluit

A 47-year-old woman who suffered a heart attack on board a flight from Moscow to Los Angeles is in stable condition, according to an Iqaluit airport official.

A 47-year-old woman who suffered a heart attack on board a flight from Moscow to Los Angeles is in stable condition, according to an Iqaluit airport official. 

The Russian Boeing 777 she was on made an emergency landing at the Iqaluit airport around 2 p.m. Monday.

The aircraft had left from Moscow and was eight hours into its flight to Los Angeles when it made the emergency landing. 

An ambulance then took the woman to Qikiqtani General Hospital.
