First crash sent a motorcyclist to hospital with life threatening injuries
Halifax Regional Police were busy Wednesday evening at the scene of two crashes, one inbound and the other outbound, on Highway 102.
The first crash happened on the outbound 102 near the Kearney Lake Road exit. A motorcyclist, a man in his mid-20s, was thrown from his bike. He was taken to the QEII hospital with life threatening injuries.
The second crash happened less than 30 minutes later, this time on the inbound 102 near the Larry Uteck exit. Police said drivers were slowing down to see what was happening in the outbound lanes with the motorcycle accident. One vehicle hit another from behind. Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
The drivers involved in that crash walked away.
