Young Avenue in Halifax floods after water main break
Halifax Water says it doesn't know when service will be back to normal
A water main break flooded south end Halifax streets Saturday evening, Halifax Water says.
Residents in the area reported seeing flooding on a day when much of Nova Scotia was blanketed in snow.
Water was pouring out of storm drains on Young Avenue between Atlantic Street and Inglis Street, Matt Chisholm said on Twitter Saturday evening.
Watermain repair Young Ave near Inglis and Atlantic. Crews onsite. No estimate of service restoration at this time.

CBC's Carly Stagg said snowplows were trying to push water into storm drains on Atlantic Street at McLean Street, a block east of Young.
Another Young Avenue neighbour, Andrew Pickett, saw flooding, too.
"My son was out shoveling when he saw a big wave of water coming down Young Ave," Pickett said on Twitter. "Water pressure way down but we still have water."
