Woman, 24, found dead after Cumberland County fire

Nova Scotia RCMP are investigating the fatal housefire Thursday afternoon on Hansford Road in Hansford, N.S.

A 24-year-old woman was found dead following a house fire in Cumberland County on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Nova Scotia RCMP, first responders were called to the address on Hansford Road in Hansford, N.S., at 3:58 p.m.

When they arrived, police said the whole house was engulfed in flames.

Police say three other people who had been in the house managed to escape. Police would not disclose the relationship between the woman who died and the three people who got out.

At this time, the fire isn't believed to be suspicious.

"Our thoughts are with the victim's loved ones at this difficult time," police said in a news release.
