Cornwall commuters get traffic reprieve Sunday
Trans-Canada Highway work will continue on Saturday and resume again next week
Construction on the Trans-Canada Highway in Cornwall will continue on Saturday but not on Sunday, the province says.
Work on Monday, Victoria Day, will be limited to the North River Bridge.
Next week, further traffic delays are expected as excavation and placement of new material will begin on the new roundabout at the North River intersection.

Temporary travel lanes will be built around the intersection that will be used to help traffic navigate the site during the construction period.
Water main work will be ongoing at the North River intersection along with improvements to the North River Bridge.
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained during the morning and evening commute periods — eastbound from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and westbound from 4 to 5:30 p.m. — on the Trans Canada Highway.
