The government of P.E.I. has opened up applications for funding for projects to improve the lives of seniors on the Island.

The grants are open to communities and non-profit groups. Preference will be given to intergenerational projects, those that promote positive mental health, elder abuse awareness, or reduce social isolation.

The grants are provided by the P.E.I. Seniors' Secretariat. In a news release, the government said collaboration is an important factor in the secretariat's work.

The grants are worth up to $5,000. The deadline for applications is July 7. Further information on applications is available here.
