Family of homicide victim to speak to media

The family of Misha William Pavelick, who died at a camping party near Regina Beach on the long weekend, is speaking out.

The family of Misha William Pavelick, who died at a camping party near Regina Beach on the long weekend, is speaking out.

RCMP were dispatched to the Kinookimaw camping area near the village Sunday night after receiving a report that someone had been seriously injured.

An 18-year-old who had been stabbed was taken to hospital and treated. Another person at the gathering, Pavelick, 19, died at the scene.

People who attended the party said Pavelick had been stabbed.

Police are investigating a homicide.

A spokesperson for Pavelick's family said they will hold a news conference in Regina Thursday morning where they will make a brief statement and answer questions.

The family is also requesting that members of the media do not try to conduct interviews at the funeral service.
