It's not easy being head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders

Corey Chamblin may not have gone out on a high-note, but he'll be remembered for many reasons in Roughriders history.

It's not easy being the head coach in the CFL's most passionate province.

On Monday, Corey Chamblin learned that lesson first-hand when he was fired by the Saskatchewan Roughriders following an 0-9 start.

Bob Dyce was named the interim head coach until the end of the season.

While Chamblin's coaching stint was cut short — his contract had been extended to 2017 — his tenure was anything but short when compared to past head coaches in Riderville.

From Kent Austin's one season of glory to Greg Marshall's eight games of despair, few coaches lasted as long as Chamblin.

Here's a look at how Chamblin ranks by the numbers:

63

Regular season games coached by Corey Chamblin.

29-34

Chamblin's record as head coach of the Riders from 2012-15.

3

4

6

Saskatchewan coaches with more regular season games than Chamblin (Danny Barrett, Eagle Keys, Frank Filchock, John Gregory, John Payne, Ken Miller). Miller originally spent 54 games as the Riders coach, but was brought back for 10 more in 2011 after Greg Marshall was fired.

6

126

Regular season games Danny Barrett coached the Riders from 2000-06, the most in franchise history.

8

47

Regular season games CFL Hall of Fame coach Don Matthews spent with the Riders from 1991-93.

4

Games the legendary Ron Lancaster won as head coach of the Riders. He had 28 losses in two seasons.
