A report by Saskatchewan's conflict of interest commissioner has been handed over to the provincial Justice Ministry for review.

The report concerns Wascana Village, a proposed development just southeast of Regina.

The RM of Sherwood, which surrounds Regina, wants to develop a community of 14,000 people.

That project has been controversial for a number of reasons, including the fact that the reeve, Kevin Eberle, owns some of the land on which the village is to be built.

The RM says it followed legal advice to ensure it handled that potential conflict properly. It also said Eberle has recused himself from all decisions concerning the development.

Ron Barclay's report on the Wascana Village proposal is being reviewed by the public prosecutions branch.

That report has not yet been made public.
