Saskatoon police investigating city's 4th homicide of 2024 after stabbing on Monday

The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) says its major crimes section is investigating the city’s fourth homicide of 2024 after a fatal stabbing on Monday afternoon.

The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) says its major crimes section is investigating the city's fourth homicide of 2024 after a fatal stabbing on Monday afternoon.

At 1:51 p.m. CST, patrol officers responded to a report of a man being stabbed in the 200 block of 20th Street W., between Avenue B South and Avenue C South, an SPS news release said.  

Police said the assailant fled the scene before officers arrived.

A 35-year-old man died from his wounds shortly after being brought to the hospital, SPS said.
