The SWAT team and crisis negotiators were called to a house in Regina's North Central neighbourhood Sunday to respond to some uncooperative residents, according to police.

Police were investigating reports of loud bangs, possibly gunshots, in the 1200 block of Cameron Street around 4 a.m. CST.

That investigation led them to a particular house, but police said the people inside were uncooperative. The SWAT team and crisis negotiators were called to assist.

Alleys and roads around the house were blocked off while police were on scene, but have since reopened.

The occupants were taken into custody for investigation. Police said charges are pending.
