Family members are confirming that 52-year-old Noreen Victorine Moore is Saskatoon's most recent homicide victim.

They had contacted police after her social media presence went quiet in the middle of the week.

Officers went to her apartment on Avenue V South and discovered her body on July 5.

Family do not know how she died, or who killed her.

"They didn't release much," said her brother-in-law Kevin Peeace.

"They didn`t say anything about where they found her, how they found her. Those details are part of an ongoing investigation so they can't release any information like that."

Peeace said he knew Moore for two decades and that she was a large and loving presence in her extended family.

"She always helped out people. If you needed things, she helped as best she could," he said.

"She'd come over and watch our kids when we were out; she was always coming over, helping. If they were cleaning their houses, she was always right there lending a hand."

Police are investigating two homicides from July 7 — Moore, and 45-year-old Maurice Arriagada.

They are not saying how either victim died, or whether they have any suspects.
