Sudbury Police seek witnesses in homicide cold case

Sudbury Police say they believe there are witnesses who haven’t come forward about a homicide that happened 17 years ago.

Sudbury Police say they believe there are witnesses who haven’t come forward about a homicide that happened 17 years ago.

Police said in the early morning hours of March 1, 1998, they were called to the Big Thunder bar on Elgin Street in Sudbury, which is now known as the Grand Nightclub.

Martin Higo, 28, also known as Marty Swanson, was found inside with serious injuries after being beaten and kicked in an alcove. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Police said this is still an active investigation.
