CBC Toronto won three American Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) awards in the international region category on Tuesday.
Competition honours the best in journalism, category covers international regions
CBC Toronto won three American Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) awards in the international region category on Tuesday.
The awards honour the best journalists and newsgathering organizations on radio, television and digital platforms across the United States and around the world.
CBC Toronto won the following awards:
- Best Radio Documentary for Metro Morning's City of Sanctuary series, which examined how ready Toronto was for the arrival of Syrian refugees.
- Best TV News Series for reporter Trevor Dunn's series of stories on break and enters in the GTA.
- Best Investigative Reporting for border insecurity stories from reporter John Lancaster, Sarah Bridge and Heather Evans.
CBC Toronto is also nominated for nine Canadian RTDNA awards in the Central Region.
