iPhone theft caught on tape, police want to identify suspects
Video shows suspect taking phone off restaurant table and putting it in her purse
Toronto police have released security camera footage they hope will help identify two women wanted in the theft of an iPhone from a restaurant table.
Police say the phone was left unattended on a table and stolen from a restaurant near Dundas Street West and University Avenue on June 29, 2015.
The video shows two young women standing near a table. When a server moves out of view, one of the women picks up the phone off the table and puts in it her purse.
The theft happened on June 29, 2015, at around 3 p.m.
The suspect was wearing a grey T-shirt, beige shorts and was carrying a yellow purse.
The woman standing next to her in the video, who police say is a person of interest, was wearing a baseball cap.
