Shooting near Keele and Lawrence leaves man critical

Police responded to a pair of shootings last night: one near Yonge-Dundas Square and another near Keele Street and Lawrence.

Two men were wounded in the Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue West area last night when a car was sprayed with gunfire. 

The shooting happened at around 11 p.m. in the rear parking lot of an apartment building on Flamborough Drive. Police say two male victims were sitting in a car when a suspect approached and began shooting into the vehicle. 

The victims each suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were taken to hospital. One man  is in life-threatening condition, the other is listed in serious condition. 

Witnesses told police they saw a dark-coloured SUV heading northbound on Keele Street after the shooting.. Police have released no information about possible suspects. 

Man shot near Yonge-Dundas Square

In a separate shooting, a man was shot on Yonge Street just north of Yonge-Dundas Square after a fight between two groups of people inside a restaurant continued outside on the sidewalk. 

Police say a suspect fled northbound on Yonge after the shooting.

The victim is in hospital in serious condition but is expected to survive.
