The family of a pregnant woman shot dead in the back of a car near Rexdale two weeks ago says her baby boy, delivered by C-section, is continuing to gain weight and is in serious but stable condition.

Candice Rochelle Bobb's baby was born at 24 weeks, shortly after she was fatally shot.

Bobb, 35, was sitting in the back seat of a car on the evening of May 15 in Jamestown, in north Etobicoke. A gunman fired several shots into the car, likely hitting the pregnant woman by accident, police say.

Investigators do believe, however, that the car itself was targeted by the killer.

The other occupants of the car were not injured.

There have not been any arrests made yet in Bobb's death.

Bobb's family also announced that there will be a visitation in Brampton today and Friday.
