In the field with Brad Raymont
Jonathan Pinto gets a berry update with Brad Raymont from Raymont's Berries in Cottam, Ont. The Downtown Windsor Farmers' Market starts up for the season tomorrow, May 27. It's one of my favourite days of the year.
So for this week's story, I decided to speak to a vendor that is both old and new.
Reinsborough acknowledges that eating well is directly related to how much money is available for spendig on groceries. “When your pocket book is strained you’re vulnerable to so many effects but all of us need support in being able to make sure that not just that we’re gettign enough food but its good quality healthy food." (Jonathan Pinto/CBC) Raymont's Berries in Cottam is a relatively new addition to the downtown market — they joined last season.
But that doesn't mean they're a new venture; far from it. Brad Raymont's family has been growing berries in Essex County for more than a century.
