Oscars 2016: Alicia Vikander, Rachel McAdams among the stars who walked the red carpet

Gowned and tuxedo-clad stars walked the red carpet before taking their seats at Hollywood's annual celebration of the silver screen. The 88th Academy Awards began at 8:30 p.m. ET and ended just after midnight with Spotlight winning the best picture Oscar.
