Tom Mulcair plays Hip Flip with Nardwuar the Human Serviette
Liberal Leader Trudeau took part in the game last week, Harper on Nardwuar's radar
The NDP's Tom Mulcair is the latest federal leader to play the Hip Flip game with Nardwuar the Human Serviette, the quirky Vancouver journalist.
The two played the classic 1960s Parker Brothers game during Mulcair's campaign stop in Vancouver over the weekend.
The game had Nardwuar and Mulcair holding up a pole with their stomachs and gyrating to spin a hanging piece of plastic. After a false start, in which the game broke and Mulcair pretended to be stabbed by the pole, the pair successfully flipped the plastic piece around the pole two times.

It came at the end of his interview with Nardwuar, which Mulcair did alongside his wife, Catherine Pinhas Mulcair.
Nardwuar — who is renowned for his extremely specific interview questions and the gifts he brings his interview subjects — touched on Mulcair's first car, his high school music preferences and the 1970s Quebec rock band Harmonium.
At one point, Nardwuar brought out collectible boxing puppets of former British Columbia premiers Mike Harcourt and Bill Vander Zalm and had Mulcair and his wife box with them. Mulcair falsely identified the puppet Harcourt as former NDP MP Yvon Godin before Nardwuar corrected him.
He also showed the couple a vinyl box set of speeches by NDP icon Tommy Douglas.
Mulcair was eager to play when Nardwuar proposed the game.
"The only person I ever Hip Flip with is Catherine, but if you want to show us what to do, we can give it a try," he told Nardwuar in the interview.
A staple on the campaign trail
It's not the first time the game has made an appearance during the current campaign. Last week, Nardwuar interrupted Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau's press conference and challenged him to the Hip Flip game. Trudeau played with Nardwuar after agreeing to take "more serious questions from everyone else."
Nardwuar has been attempting to play Hip Flip with Canadian federal politicians since the 2004 election campaign, when the Liberal Party formed a minority government.
In the past, Nardwuar has played the game with Paul Martin, Jean Chrétien, Jack Layton and Michael Ignatieff. Neither Conservative Leader Stephen Harper nor Bloc Québécois Leader Gilles Duceppe have agreed to play Hip Flip during past campaigns. Nardwuar claims he was carried away by security during a Harper campaign event in 2004.
Nardwuar told CBC News Monday afternoon that he would love to try again to play Hip Flip with Harper and that he will attempt to play with Green Party Leader Elizabeth May.
The video earned Nardwuar a lot of online love...
I don't know much about Canadian politics but I'd vote for anyone who does the HIP FLIP w/ <a href="https://twitter.com/nardwuar">@nardwuar</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/ThomasMulcair">@ThomasMulcair</a> <a href="http://t.co/rJyMTpXBhM">http://t.co/rJyMTpXBhM</a>

And there was a little bit of speculation as to what comes next.
Wonder if Nardwuar will get Harper to hip flip. Highly doubt it tho. 2 for 3 ain't bad tho...
