'The role on the page was essentially an insecure guy': Tracy Letts on playing Henry Ford II in Ford v Ferrari
Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and actor Tracy Letts plays Henry Ford II in the new film Ford v Ferrari, starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale. Recently, he's had parts in The Post (opposite Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks), Lady Bird, and he'll soon appear in Greta Gerwig's latest film, Little Women, which is out next month.
Beyond his film work, Letts is also busy in the theatre world right now. He has two plays — Linda Vista and The Minutes — opening on Broadway this season.
He joined q's Tom Power on the line from New York to tell us more about some of the projects he's currently involved in, and how he feels about the Oscar buzz he's receiving for his role in Ford v Ferrari.
