Imagine you're being hoisted high in the air, dangling on a cable from a rafter, wondering how on earth you're going to get back down — and then something goes wrong with your support wires.

That's where Julie Andrews found herself when filming Mary Poppins. That film, that set and those wires were Andrews's introduction to Hollywood. It was the first step in the actress and singer's Academy Award-winning career on the silver screen.

Andrews just published the second part of her memoirs, titled Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years. She joined q's Tom Power from East Hampton in Long Island, N.Y. to reflect on her extraordinary career.
