Today on The Current:

In the face of war, there is a rush to preserve Ukraine's art and cultural artifacts. Matt Galloway talks to Ihor Poshyvailo, co-founder of the Heritage Emergency Response Initiative; and Brian Daniels, advisor to the Smithsonian Cultural Rescue Initiative.

Then, Pope Francis meets with Indigenous delegations in Rome this week to discuss the impact of residential schools. We talk to Calgary Bishop William McGrattan about what action the Church might take; and Taylor Behn-Tsakoza, one of the youth delegates for the Assembly of First Nations delegation to the Vatican.

And author Michael Branch brings us tales of the mythical jackalope, from his book On the Trail of the Jackalope: How a Legend Captured the World's Imagination and Helped Us Cure Cancer.
