Hannah Brandt leads PWHL Boston over New York in OT with 2nd goal of game
New York surrenders lead in 3rd period en route to 5th straight loss
Hannah Brandt created a two-on-one and tapped in the rebound to give Boston a 3-2 overtime win over visiting New York on Sunday in Professional Women's Hockey League action.
Brandt intercepted a pass in the Boston end and carried the puck into New York's end before passing left to Jamie Lee Rattray. Abigail Levy stopped Rattray's shot, but Brandt was on the edge of the crease to give herself an easy second goal of the game.
The win gave Boston, sitting in the fourth and final playoff spot, some breathing room with 21 points. New York, which has lost five in a row, remains at 16 points. New York had won the previous two meetings between the teams.

Brandt opened the scoring with her third goal of the season when her centring pass along the endline deflected into the net early in the match.
Boston's Sophie Shirley tied it at 2 at the 5:22 mark of the third period with her second goal.
Levy had a season-high 43 saves for New York, while Söderberg had 21 saves for Boston.
