Canadians in action include Shawn Barber (pole vault), Melissa Bishop (women's 800m), Aaron Brown (men's 200) and Christabel Nettey (long jump).
Barber, 22, will attempt to overcome a disappointing Olympic debut in Rio, where the medal favourite finished 10th, while his main rival Renaud Lavillenie took home a silver medal after Brazil's Thiago Braz da Silva shocked the Frenchman and others by clearing an Olympic record 6.03 to win gold.
Lavillenie is 6-0 versus Barber this season and 12-2 overall.
Bishop, 28, missed a bronze medal in Rio by 13-100ths of a second but lowered her Canadian record with a time of one minute 57.02 seconds.
The 24-year-old Brown failed to qualify for the men's 200 final, but on Aug. 19 was part of the 4x100 relay team that ran a Canadian record 37.64 seconds and took home a bronze medal after the United States was disqualified for an illegal baton exchange.
Nettey, 25, aggravated a back injury on the long flight to Rio and placed 20th overall in long jump in Rio with a best jump of 6.37 metres, missing the final.
CBC Sports' coverage of the Diamond League continues with the meet in Paris on Saturday.
