What is Bollywed about?

Bollywed centres around the Singh family, who have been operating the iconic bridal shop, Chandan Fashion, in Toronto's Little India for almost 40 years. The series shines a light on the booming and glamorous world of South Asian culture and fashion.

Follow the Singhs as they work with, outfit and connect with families and friends from all sorts of different communities and find them the wedding outfit of their dreams.

From sacred rituals, distinct and gorgeous pre-events and celebrations, and of course, outfit changes featuring the most extravagant and beautiful designs, Bollywed offers an authentic glimpse into an intergenerationally run business.

Chandan Fashion is led by father Kuki Singh, his wife Sarab, and their two children Chandan and Chandni, and daughter-in-law Roop. They continue to support each other in the face of business challenges, differing ideas, and individual goals – no matter how much each family member ventures out on their own, it just seems to pull them all back together. A big measure of what success means to the family is that nothing gets in the way of family unity.

What happens in Season 2?

Season 2 of Bollywed delves deeper into the lives of the Singh family. This time, they are back and bigger than ever providing a fresh look at their triumphs, challenges, and the amazing clientele visiting their bustling bridal business.

Watch Chandni and Roop (sisters-in-law) embark on an exciting project. Inspired by a client who wants an original, gender-bending, out-of-the-box wedding outfit for her wedding to her bride, they decide to come up with their original fashion line – one of Sarab's dreams, and a Chandan Fashion first.
