An elderly woman is found brutally murdered in her upper-middle-class home, an apparent victim of a robbery gone wrong. As Lethbridge Police Detective Ryan Stef investigates, he uncovers a web of lies that implicates a shocking suspect. But with no clear evidence, he's forced to resort to unconventional tactics to try and close the case. Will his investigative creativity work? Or will an early blind spot result in the killer walking free?

About the detective
Detective Ryan Stef works with the Lethbridge Police Service. During his 23 years on the job, he has served as a patrol officer, a canine handler, a patrol sergeant, and a detective in the Violent Crimes Unit. He is slated to become the training unit sergeant in January 2020.
